It is really closing in now. Roskilde Festival kicks off in a good week. Music in all conceivable shapes and colours awaits, so pack the tent, clothes, air guitar and dancing shoes.
But we would still like to raise the expectations a bit with three new summer-hot acts. This week's additions are extra treats for musical sweet-teeth who like a fast pulse, swinging backs and great tunes.
JUAN FORMELL Y LOS VAN VAN (CUB) are called the Cuban answer to The Rolling Stones. Legendary front man Juan Formell created the songo genre in 1969 - an explosive mix of Caribbean grooves, jazz and rock. Formell is on a goodbye tour with a 16 men strong orchestra in historically top form.
ROBYN (S) has created her own brand by combining pop, rap and skewed electronica. She stepped into the spotlight in the 90s as a teenage idol like Britney Spears, but she has since gained full artistic control of her career and formed her own label. Robyn has entered the top spot on the charts with "With Every Heartbeat".
THE TING TINGS (UK) mix catchy 80s-like bubblegum pop and biting attitude from !!! and LCD Soundsystem. The Ting Tings are one of the best offers from the British music scene on a sunny dance party painted in glowing pang colours.
Prepare yourselves. The dancing shoes will do overtime work this summer.
